Business Hours

Monday, December 29, 2008

Sumber dari wikipedia menyatakan Business hours are the hours during the day in which business is commonly conducted. Typical business hours vary widely by country. By observing common informal standards for business hours, workers may communicate with each other more easily and find a convenient divide between work life and home life. I'm a person who is having a hard time being punctual as well.....masih banyak yang perlu diperbaiki starting from keeping my watch accurate.... Saya petik artikel dari akhbar The Star...THIS was written in a restaurant signboard: “Business Hours: 8am to 12am”. Does this mean that it is opened for business each day for 4 hours (8am to 12noon) or 16 hours (8am to 12 midnight)? The restaurant signboard does not state its business hours correctly or clearly. As you say, it could be interpreted as the restaurant opening for 4 hours from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, or 16 hours from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight.
Teringat kepada bait lirik lagu daripada Butterfingers, Time stops ticking but everything faster....cheers.

This is not about Nike Air Shoes

Saturday, December 27, 2008

There's more news covered on the 14/12/2008 greatest event on earth(apart from raja sehari), the famous GWB was struck(almost)by shoes from an Iraqi reporter. At the moment I saw the local TV news, I was thinking that the brave Iraqi reporter should be punished or maybe jailed since he missed both of his shots....he needs more practice. In the same time, I was quite amazed with the reflexes by GWB....his physical ability really suits his arrogant...it just like I'm watching The Matrix.

Then I was think of the security....the guard should have been reacted after the first shot..but then there was no reaction until the 2nd shot.
Sepanjang pengalaman aku menonton cerita wayang org putih, pengawal/peawai/perisik/agen khas negara A bukan main punya hebat lagi dan mereka siap boleh memerhatikan setiap gerak geri dan juga latar belakang tetamu yg hadir dalam satu-satu majis. Ternyata ianya hanya satu pro pa ganda yang sengaja diadadakan bagi menunjukkan kehabatan mereka.

Latest about the story, BBC reported "A Turkish shoe firm says it has had to take on 100 extra staff to cope with a surge in orders after an Iraqi threw shoes at US President Bush." Ternyata disebalik perbuatan itu, ada pihak yang mendapat rezeki yang mencurah-curah and I really hope that GWB atau yang sewaktu dengannya got the message from that incident....it was not about how quick you dodge the shoe, it's about why you got hit by shoe...."The shoe was called Model 271 but has been renamed Bush shoe, the firm said"

Volumed10...the past and present

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

It was back in 1996 where 4 students from a college in KK; Kole, Raf, Pyan and Cyril teamed up to form a band called volume10. With the influence from the seattle sounds, and local power house band Butterfingers, they often jammed in a studio in AsiaCity. Weekends was the day for those 4 geeks to runaway from the busy and hectic of being a students, the studio(Forgot the namelah), fast became the group study center to experience the electric sounds of music instead of the gitar kapok and ketuk meja things in hostel. Though, jamming was only for pleasure whereas study still the top priority and they were really mean it. In 1998, they were met again in a campus but Cyril had other sight in joining the metal group led by fellow friend, Aloy. Then, Bagax turned up and bashing the drumstick for fun! Ejam was all of sudden joined the group as bassist and it completes the line up.

Year 2000, this group had an invitation from Zeal Jamming Zone which was base in Karamunsing, KK, to perform at a gig called Local Youth Band Show Performance. This was the highlight of their musical career where the invitation was only for certain music groups in KK. Playing their self-composed materials at that occasions was a high stake just because of no one knows the band yet. Besides, the other bands were already established with experiences becoming setlist centralized in KK underground scene.

The most memorable performance was back in 2000 UMS Tamu Gadang, heavy rain dropped suddenly as the group took stage."Tu lah, apsal buat gig dekat majlis mcm ni???kan dah diturunkan tanda yg gig ni tidak dialu-alukan." Commented by a student on that tragic night. Since then, the group dissolved acrimoniously in 2001, and each member pursued their own career....and of cause it is not music.

Bagax - Teacher, Kole - Chemist, Ejam- Engineer, Pyan - Educator, Raf - Petroliam Nasional

Cheers.

Have you been poked yet?

I received a mail txt from one of my musical peers, mr. kole aka Nazri, asking me to join facebook with meeting old friends as the main factor. Before that, my other colleagues asni and quan had also do the same. As well as mr. askrool who talked ’bout this new sensation of social networking.

Recently we’ve witnessed a significant explosive of social computing software creating the extensions of social networks that fast growing technological phenomena since the introduction of the world wide web. Social networking is being discovered and used in many different ways and each new application of the medium creates a new wave of change.

Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life....that is the motto and I tried to track my old fella from the ancient time in UMS. Having a chat with kole had made me agree with the motto....share. sharing is caring dan oleh sebab itu aku dapat tahu the updates of my long time missing buddies starting from their marital status, their number of siblings, belongings to their recent weight:grin:.

Social networks are enabling millions to have a voice on any and all issues and one voice becomes millions at lightening speed.

How about friendster, myspace and etc?Selepas register facebook, aku dengan kelamkabutnya mengupdate akaun myspace yang sebelum ini bernama volume10theband...saja supaya kawan bandmate dulukalajengking ku dapat dengar apa yang tidak sempat kami laksanakan dulu...jadi artis, rakam lagu sendiri dan bawa haluan masing-masing since kami masih belajar pada waktu dan ketika itu, so here comes http://www.myspace.com/sulfatspace8-). But now I really realised that becoming what I’m doing rite now really suites me in dan syukur kawan-kawan yang lain juga doing well in their lives.

So why facebook? Friendster for me is quite big as the followers growing to 100 million users and most of them is young guns from Asia where 90% of the registered users are from Asia...and Malaysia is ranked top 3 in terms of the user. Besides, most of my students have their own Friendster account.....so I just assume that I’m too old for Friendster:lol:. Facebook in contrast was founded by a student from Harvard University, and it began as a medium for the students to exchange their thoughts. That is the point on why I choose it.....sesuai untuk rakan-rakan belajar di kampus. In a 2006 study conducted by Student Monitor, a company specializing in research concerning the college student market, Facebook was named the second most popular thing among undergraduates, tied with beer and only ranked lower than the iPod.

But all in all is all about social networking and now even the alumni website has enable the friendster alike interface to attract the participation from the ex. Just play it by rules and you’ll discover lots of fun in joining these sites.

Cheers.

For the time being, it's all for the children since the profession that I've took need me to change.....entirely. Whether in house or office...I have to meet children and the lesson continuous as it was the journey that I choose. Furthermore, it was a destiny and I have to obey and make it as good as it supposed to be.

The rush of blood to the head, changes....the word of wisdom, currently being used as the hook by president to be Mr. Obama and others that getting tired of the things going on around them. As for me, changes means headache turns to fever since there is no urgency to cure it in the first place. Adapt and cop with it slowly.... you'll breathe easier then. Then comes the principle issue that you hold for so long, it would be sacrificed and for me it is no principle anymore, it is ego and we live in it.

As individuals we have choices to make every day as our lives are hit with constant changes. There is an expression, people don’t resist change, they resist being changed. Hey, we gonna change everyday with or w/o our conscious. Many sceptical Malaysians say that things will never change in Malaysia. That is the point and I myself found it very hard to make it.

Hope this blog can make me think of myself and the people that depends on me...which path should be taken....the most or the less, and there is a quote says less is more.....membingungkan.

This blog was created a year ago but I can only manage it now since a long hiatus in search for the content. What should be the main ingredients and learning the world without border...it's borderless and now it needs wireless to explore the madness....gila maklumat, gossips, bisnes...menaikkan dan menjatuhkan, uploaders vs downloaders....etc.

Cheers.
